Chapter 8

God remembered Noah and all that he had with him in the ark. So God sent a wind over the earth to receded the waters off of the earth. The springs of the deep had stopped gushing and the floodgates of heaven were closed, and it stopped raining.
At the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters had gone down. And on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

The waters continued to go down until the tenth month. On the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible. After forty days Noah opened the window of the ark and sent out a raven and it kept flying back and forth.

Noah also sent out a dove to see if the waters had dried up of the ground. But the dove could not find a place to rest , so it returned back to the ark, so Noah waited seven days and sent the dove out again.

When the dove returned to him that evening their was a fresh olive leaf in it beak. So Noah knew the water had receded and he waited another seven days and sent the dove out again and it never returned.


On the first day of the first month of the six hundredth year of Noah's life the water had dried off of the face of the earth. Then Noah took the covering off of the ark and saw the ground was dry.

By the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth was completely dry.

God spoke to Noah and told him to go out of the ark and take all your family with you and all the animals with you so they can multiply and increase in numbers upon the face of the earth.

Noah did what God ask and then Noah built an alter for the lord, and took some of the clean animals and clean birds to the altar and  made a burnt offering for God.

God smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart that he would never again curse the ground because of man. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

Genesis Chapter 7

Now by this time Noah had finished the Ark and stored all they needed to survive in the ark, and was to take seven of every clean animal and its mate, male and female and two of unclean animals and its mates,male and female.

So God had commanded all the animals to go to the Ark so Noah could load them. Now God had shut Noah and his family and all the living animals and creatures in the ark to keep them safe from the flood.

Noah was 600 years old when the flood came. After seven days with flood water being on the earth, In the six hundredth day of Noah's life on the seventeenth day of the second month the springs of the great deep burst forth. And the heavens opened and it rained on the earth for forty days and forty nights.
 As the water increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. All the mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet. Every living thing on the earth perished. Everything that breathed air into it's nostrils died. Only Noah was left and those with him in the ark.
The waters were on the earth for a hundred and fifty days.

Genesis Chapter 6

When men began to populate the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters were beautiful, they married any of them that they wanted.When the sons of God had children they were the hero's of old men of renown. 

God has seen how wicked man had become, every thought they had was evil. So now the Lord was very sad that his creation had turned evil. So God decided to wipe everything off the face of the earth. But Noah found favor in Gods eyes.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, Noah walked with God. Noah had 3 son's Shem, Ham, Japheth. In Gods sight the earth was full of violence and evil. So God told Noah that he was going to flood the whole earth and destroy everything even human life, He also told Noah to build an ark, for him and his wife and his 3 sons and their wives.


 God gave Noah the measurements for the ark and it was to have 3 stories and a window. And you are to bring two of every living thing, male and female. Every kind of animal, bird, creature that crawls on the earth. Noah did everything that God had commanded him to do.
 

Genesis Chapter 5

Chapter 5 tells us the blood line from Adam to Noah. It tells us the names of Adams sons and how old they were when their children were born and their age when they died. Adam was 130 years old when he had his first son in his own likeness and his own image. He named him Seth. Adam was 930 years old when he died.

Genesis Chapter 4

Adam and Eve had two children Cain and Able.     Able kept flocks and Cain worked the land.  After a while Cain had brought some of his fruits of the land as an offering to the Lord. Able brought some of the fat portions of his firstborn of his flock.


God looked with favor on  Able and his offering. But did not look with favor on Cain. This made Cain very angry and you could see it on his face. God ask Cain, why are you angry?  If you do what is right you will be excepted.  If you don't do what is right sin will be at your door.

 Cain said to Able let's go to the field. And while they were in the field Cain attacked and killed Able.

Then God ask Cain where Able was and Cain replied I am not my brothers keeper. Then God said what have you done?  Your brothers blood is crying out to me from the ground.

Now God cursed Cain telling him to leave this land and he wouldn't be able to grow anything for food and he would be a wanderer of the earth.

Now Cain was scared and said to God you are driving me out of this land and to be a wanderer and who ever finds me will kill me. And the Lord said not so; If anyone kills Cain they will suffer vengeance seven times over.

God put a mark on Cain so that who ever found him would not kill him. Cain lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Cain was building a city when him and his wife had their first child and named him Enoch. So Cain named the city after his first child Enoch.


Now Adam and Eve had another son and named him Seth saying God had replaced Able since Cain killed him. Seth also had a son and named him Enosh.  And at that time men began to call on the name of the Lord.

Genesis Chapter 3

Now the serpent is smarter than any other wild animal that God created . The serpent questioned Eve about what God had told them about the Garden of Eden.  Eve told the serpent that they could eat from any tree except the tree of knowledge and they couldn't touch it either, because if they did they would Surely die.


The serpent told Eve ,she would not die that God new if they eat from the tree of knowledge  their eyes would be opened.  And they would know good and evil. So  Eve had doubts.


So she ate the fruit from the tree and saw it was good for food and had opened her eyes, so she took the fruit from the tree of knowledge to Adam and he ate.


Now Adam's and Eve's eyes were opened and they saw they were naked. So they found fig leaves and sewed them together to cover their selves.  God came to the Garden of Eden calling for  Adam and Eve, But they were hiding from God because of their nakedness. When Adam finally answered God , he ask why were you hiding from me? And Adam said because we are naked. God said who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree I commanded you not to eat from?  Adam said, Eve gave me the fruit.  Eve said, the serpent deceived me and I ate from the tree of knowledge.


God said to the serpent you are cursed to crawl on your belly and eat the dust of the earth and I put enmity between you and Eve and her offspring and you, because you have done this.


Now God said,  Eve I will increase the pain during childbirth and Adam will rule over you.  And as for Adam,  cursed is the ground because you ate listening to Eve. You will have to work the land to provide food for you and Eve and generations after you. And since you were made of the dust of the earth you shall return to the ground.


God made garments for Adam and Eve to were out of skin. Now God banished them from the Garden of Eden because he did want them  eat from the tree of life and live forever.


God also placed a cherub and a flaming sword on the east side of the Garden of Eden to guard the tree of life.

Genesis Chapter 2

The heaven and earth are now complete. On the 7th day God was done. God rested on the 7th day from all the work that he had done He blessed the 7th day and made it holy .

Their was no greenery or plants on the land because God had not made it rain yet for their was no one to till the land. Their was a mist that came up from the earth and watered the whole surface.

The Lord God formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed air into his nostrils and made the man a living being.  God planted a garden in the east and called it the Garden Of Eden, He placed the man he had formed in the Garden Of Eden.  God made all kinds of tree's grow and that were pleasing to the eye, and tree's for food.

God put two tree's in the middle of the Garden of Eden, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  A river flowing thru the Garden of Eden was separated into 4 head waters, the first one's name is Pishon, the second river is Gihon, and the third river is Tigris, the fourth river is Euphrates.

God told Adam(the man God formed) He could eat from any tree he wished but not to eat from the tree of knowledge or he would surely die. 

Now God felt it wasn't good for Adam to be alone. So God had a deep sleep come over Adam and God made woman from Adams ribs. He brought the woman to Adam and he named her Eve.  Adam and Eve were both naked and were not ashamed.
